She is young, black, beautiful and bold.

She is something of the unknown, a story never told.

She is in love with a guy who;s never even there,

He beats her, cheats on her and throws her everywhere.

She is made from a rib that lives inside of a man,

She is the fear inside of her that trembles through her hand.

She is the tears that fall at night, upon her loving cheeks,

She is the blood that gushes every time she gets beat.

She is a woman, not just a creature,

She is the woman who tries to hide all of her features.

She is the heart that pounds at the sight of his face,

She is the one who gets told to be strong and hold tight.

She is a woman, young, black, beautiful, and bold,

She is the voice behind this story that's just starting to unfold.
